Overland Journal and the Overland Expo 2010

The Overland Expo attracted attendees and exhibitors from all over the world.

Overland Journal, the publication for environmentally responsible, worldwide vehicle-supported expedition and adventure travel, attended the second annual Overland Expo as a title sponsor in Amado, Arizona, April 16-18, 2010.

Overland Journal participated in this year’s Overland Expo, a ConserVentures owned and operated event, as one of the title sponsors. The publication showcased itself using a 570-square-foot safari tent made by Exclusive Tents, outfitted with chairs and tables from the Campaign Furniture Company. The tent provided a welcoming atmosphere for Overland Expo attendees to sit and talk with editors and other members of the Overland Journal team. Overland Journal designer Stephanie Brady commented, “This event and the layout of our booth has allowed us to meet many of our subscribers in person and make connections that can only happen with so many overlanders in one place at one time.”

The Overland Expo attracted attendees and exhibitors from all over the world. There was a full schedule of presentations and seminars, skills classes given by Overland Training, and special guests including Camel Trophy icons Tom Collins and Duncan Barbour (now with Wildtrackers.com), and worldwide motorcycle travelers Ted Simon, Lois Pryce, Austin Vince, Guarav Jani, and Ara Gugherian.

The event provided a welcoming environment for people to learn new skills, see new products, make new friends and reconnect with old ones. “The response has been phenomenal. We’ve signed up more subscribers than at any other event we’ve attended, and almost sold out our Overland Journal hats, shirts and mugs. I can’t wait for next year!” said Jeremy Edgar, Director of Operations at Overland Journal.
